The Emissary
Overtures of peace are made against the Empire with the Federation’s foremost Klingon Ambassador, Ambassador Dax. His protégé, K’Eylehr is an outcast of the Empire. Representing the Empire are Worf a rising star for Empire with a grudge against Picard, L’Kor a moderate voice in the Empire and Klaad with direct connections to the High Council. Peace dies at the end of a dk’tagh when L’Kor is found dead - and K’Eylehr is prime suspect. Through the investigation process it is revealed that Worf and K’Eylehr were once romantically involved but broke it off when Worf risked bringing shame to his family. K’Eylerh had killed L’Kor in self-defence and Worf would vouch for her. Despite all of this the Empire pulls out of the negotiations.
