Bruce Maddox has created a Trojan-horse android who looks and sounds like Data that could potentially cripple every networked Klingon computer. Now they need to stage a scenario where B-9 would be “captured.” But Data may have objections as he spends more and more time with his stunted brother. Yar leads an assault team to a Klingon camp on occupied Archanis with the expressed purpose of getting Data captured. They are successful, but Maddox’s virus fails to deliver. En route to the Klingon homeworld on a warship, B-9 breaks his bonds, successfully kills everyone by venting the atmosphere and takes the ship to parts unknown and forge his own path.
